Games take money to buy and time to review, so it may be a while before I'll be able to get to all that I want. For that reason, I'll list the games I have interest in reviewing here, as well as my hopes for the game.
While I'm not too interested in playing Dark Souls (get it?), It's been a bit of time since I've had a deep interest for a run-and-gun game. The gameplay seems simple but frustrating enough that you probably won't beat a boss on the first try, but after several attempts you'll get the hang of and knockout. I think that's the most satisfying thing a game could do for a person, make them work towards a goal repetitively until they get the hang of the game, and in the short amount of time I've seen people beat the bosses in Cuphead it looks to be a real great game.
I played this game 3 years ago on the Wii, and I never beat it. I think I got close, since I spent a good amount of time playing it. But ever since then I've pledged that I'll get back to it, and I really haven't. Remembering the amazing RPG gameplay, beautiful areas, amazing soundtrack, and brilliant storytelling I really gotta get back to it. With a sequel coming up, and not a spin-off like Xenoblade Chronicles X, and whether the story is similar to the first or not, I have to finish this game so that I can play the next fully expecting what may come of it.
A game I've had much interest in since I've started playing Payday 2. I hear my friends tell me it is hard everytime I ask about it, but to me it just looks like a top-down rougelike similar to Nuclear Throne or Binding of Isaac. That's a challenge I'm willing to take on. Not only that, but from what I've heard about it, the story has an interesting plot, the gameplay is fast-paced and gruesome, and the soundtrack is beautiful!
Also, here are some games I thought of reviewing, but later decided there was too little time to do much with them. I'm listing them anyways so you may get a taste of some other games I've played.
I think its become a shadow of the fun it was at launch, and it killed TF2. With as repetitive of gameplay as it has and the few amount of updates it gets monthly that really change the game, its unfortunate but understandable that I couldn't enjoy it longer.
Overwatch killed it, along with the passage of time. Still an amazingly fun game to play, but the community is nonetheless moribund. Although it is old, I still have a blast playing it and they are still planning to update the game, so the game may yet be dead.
And I spent WAY too much money on this free-to-play game to give it up.
I wanted to include at least one roguelike here, and this would be the one I favored the most. You start off really slow but gain mutations and better weapons as you go on, with more and more enemies spawning each time you advance a level. Lasting long in this game is up to how fast you can kill enemies, how good you are at dodging hundreds of bullets and lasers, and how quickly you'll run out of ammo. A fun but infuriating game.
Trying to describe a game off nostalgia is pretty hard, and I wouldn't want to bore you with my attempt to do so. But I guarantee you that because of my nostalgia all the scores would be 10s, regardless of trying to stay biased.
I really love this game series more than I should.
A really great and fun multiplayer game, but I've only played so little and I have yet to try everything, therefore my review wouldn't even be close to being accurate. It's just sad that the developers are only going to add so much more before ceasing development on the game, therefore officially "finishing" the game.
I already reviewed Borderlands 2 in this site, but there are enough distinctions between the first and second that make them different games with each their own level of fun.
